The insulations can be of the internal and external type. Their type depends mostly on the available space, the specific appearance of the building and its facades.
The external insulations are the more preferable and effective type of insulation. They are placed on the facade of the building and besides affecting the comfort of the residents; they also protect the very walls of the building from the outside influences of the environment - moisture, temperature changes, noise impacts (including vibration due to the noise).
When external insulation is being done, the most appropriate method for it to be done is on the entire building.
In such cases, the effectiveness of the external insulation is the greatest possible. In cases when it is impossible for an external insulation to be done on the entire building - if the building is a historical monument or if the facade cannot be changed, then should be applied internal insulation of the walls.
The internal insulation has several disadvantages - it cuts from the inner space of
the premises, it does not protect the outer walls from the external conditions, and also it takes more time and effort.
When internal insulation is applied, the repair takes place inside the premises, which is associated with the displacement of furniture and after the completion of all repairs, should be organized thorough cleaning of the property and even of the common parts of the building.
The new buildings are usually made with external insulation of the entire building, while the inner insulation is done only upon a request by the clients.
The insulation of the premises is most effective when all the elements of the premise have been insulated - floors, walls and ceilings, and when the windows are multi-ply and binding with interrupted thermal connection.
