The natural parquet flooring is one of the most durable and long lasting types of flooring. In the process of usage, as a result of the drying of the material or increasing of the humidity in the room, the parquet is respectively shrinking or swelling.
If these changes become visible and start to interfere with the occupants of the room, the flooring can be corrected in one possible way - by rearrangement.
The process of rearrangement of the parquet floor is applied when for one reason or another part of the flooring must be replaced; or in old buildings, where the base under the parquet should be replaced with stucco or other solid material.
If the room unnecessarily generates large amounts of dust, perhaps the reason lies in the old parquet flooring. In that case the base under the parquet flooring must be checked and all dust-forming materials - slag, mud plaster, etc. must be removed.
A good option is to lay insulation under the parquet flooring in order to increase the comfort of habitat and to reduce the heating costs during the cold months of the year. The heat insulation under the parquet flooring will further soundproof your home from the apartment which is located on the floor below.
