These maintenance and repair services have enjoyed great interest in the recent years and we have gained considerable experience in the implementation of such repairs.
Repair and maintenance of pavements of Siberian pine, teak, larch, locust and other types of wood in general include the following activities:
• Washing the surface with detergent and pressure washing to remove the dirt from deep inside the wood
• Drying the tree out
• Mechanical scraping of the surface. It removes the top layer of wood layer whose integrity is impaired by weather or scratched of small stones and others
• If necessary filling in the joints and cracks with appropriate filler material
• Surface treatment with a special oil against external influences
• Waiting for the tree to dry and repeat the procedure if necessary
• Polishing the surface
Depending on the type of material and its condition, we can apply additional services such as replacement of pavement, installation of new elements, etc.
After the maintenance, the warranty varies depending on the type of material and that of what is subject to weather conditions.
The optimal maintenance includes timely removal of snow accumulations in winter to avoid thawing and freezing of the snow masses.
In the summer months, some types of wood need regular spraying with water to prevent the excessive shrivel of timber.
It is also important if the wood paving is covered with some kind of canopy or sun shade, or it is subjected to direct contact with the weather and the sun.
